All pieces start with a walk in the woods, on a beach or a lake shore. I select each piece when I actually see a fish. I know right away what type of fish it will be and what it will look like when it is finished.
I bring the piece home, let it dry for a few days, power wash and bleach as needed.
I use an sander, grinder and a jig saw. Poly and stain on some pieces. Acrylic paint and sometimes oil paint. I paint only the parts that I feel need it.
